Fundación Argentina ASE is developing a smart network to anticipate fires in the Delta

The project plans to integrate environmental sensors and meteorological data to generate preventive alerts, detect active fires and provide information about their behavior. The initiative seeks to reduce response times and protect both natural resources and local communities.

Fundación Argentina ASE is developing a project for fire prevention and early detection in the Delta. The initiative seeks to help reduce response times in risk situations or imminent scenarios, while addressing both the protection of natural resources and the safety of local communities.

The proposed methodology calls for installing a network of smart sensors capable of collecting environmental information in real time. The planned system would integrate these readings with data from its own weather stations and open sources.

By combining this information, the project aims to identify useful patterns for generating preventive alerts, detecting active fires and providing elements to analyze their behavior. This capability remains under development: the proposal describes how the system is expected to work, not a system that is already operational.

The approach seeks to turn environmental monitoring and meteorological data into practical prevention tools. Earlier detection can improve the information available to those responsible for assessing risk and organizing a response, without replacing the duties of the competent authorities.

To implement the initiative, the Foundation is seeking collaboration from companies interested in making donations. Those contributions would cover the acquisition, installation and administration costs of the necessary equipment; the call is a search for support and does not mean that funding has already been secured.

The project connects technology, prevention and territorial care in response to a problem that can affect ecosystems and communities. Its next challenge is to gather the resources and partnerships required to move from the proposed design toward installation and management of the network.
